Jesus the Christ

There have been lots of drawings and paintings depicting Jesus the Christ. It is possible that God actually inspired artists to capture the image of His Son, however the Bible does not give any detailed information on what Jesus actually looked like! It is apparent that He looked like any other normal Jewish male as we learn when He was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane it was Judas Iscariot that had to kiss Him in order for the guards to know whom to arrest! Why would God not paint us a picture in words of what His Son looked like? Because any other human(s) that favored Him would claim they were the only people God would save! Those who would be "made in the image of His Son."

Of all the famous people in the world there are not any that have had the exposure over the centuries that Jesus has. Born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago, Jesus is the only man that was born of a virgin. He is also the only Son of God by "birth." The rest of the human race came into existence by Gods creation, Jesus came into "humanity" as God Himself.

God came to earth in the body of Jesus for the purpose of communicating His glorious plan to us. As a man, Jesus experienced the same human life that you and I do. As God, He worked awesome miracles among the people that they may come to believe in Him.

In a nutshell, God created ("hu"-man) that He may enjoy seeing Himself in a creation that He made especially for that purpose. He fashioned us in His own image (what He had in mind for us) and placed within us some attributes of His very own. When His creation turned on Him in the Garden of Eden, as tempted by the devil to become independent of God, God could no longer enjoy the relationship with us that He had desired. Knowing all this would happen, He still created us anyway. He has a plan in place that was conceived even before the world or anything in it was ever created that He may still have that relationship with us. In order to right the wrong committed in the Garden by our ancestors, God came and filled a human body which is named Jesus, in order that the death of this body would satisfy the requirements determined by Him to restore that relationship. Jesus' last name is not "Christ." Christ is who He is; the chosen, the only anointed one of God created for this very purpose.

By obeying the plan, the man Jesus, being the Christ, spent three and a half of His final years on earth explaining this plan to all who would listen, proving He was God in human form by His amazing miracles.  He empowered others to carry out this message even after He would no longer be with them in body. Being put to death on the Cross, which is a means of execution reserved for the worst criminals such as our electric chairs, Jesus died voluntarily that we could be reconciled to God. God would raise up Jesus three days after He was buried and eventually Jesus ascended back into heaven where He came from. Upon His arrival in heaven, Jesus sent us another "helper, comforter" in His place.  God now fills people with His Holy Spirit, just as He filled the body of Jesus with Himself. We are not "little Jesus'" or "little gods" but we are human beings that once again can reflect the image of the unseen Father and God that created us. By trusting in Jesus, and believing in Him, and allowing Him to live in us by way of the Holy Spirit, we will live with God forever as God intended from the start. For those who refuse to believe and want to live independent of God, an eternal, (never ending), destiny of separation from God awaits them after this life and horrendous torture by fire will be their "reward".

Place your trust in Christ Jesus today. The Bible tells us all this, read it to get the full story. All of the information above comes from the Bible, if you have any questions or doubts about any of it, please write to me that I may send you the Scriptures to verify it.

If you will commit your life to Christ, send me an e-mail and I will send you some information to help you in your new journey!
